Position Description

Cardinal Ritter Senior Services, one of South County’s largest independent, assisted living, skilled nursing and rehabilitation community nonprofit senior living communities, seeks compassionate and experienced Development and Communications Manager to join our growing team.

POSITION SUMMARY:  Member of the development team, responsible for managing development efforts, executing special events and managing agency communications in partnership with the CDO.

 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:  The Development and Communications Manager will manage, evaluate and expand fundraisers and special events that build and strengthen relationships with potential and existing donors, participants and volunteers.  They will assist with the implementation of the development plan as determined by the DOD, CDO and the Board of Directors while managing all agency communications

 

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: 

Event Management – 50%

·         Manage, implement and coordinate CRSS’ fundraising and special events

·         Manage and maintain financial records for each event to ensure that the logistics, budgets, and timelines are met for assigned events and campaigns.

·         Communications – 40%

·         Manage, implement and coordinate CRSS’ online presence including website management

·         Manage CRSS’ traditional print communications including yearly updates to the agency brochures, annual report, and newsletters

·         Manage donor relations pieces including the annual report and stewardship mailers

·         Work in coordination with PR and Graphic Design contractors

·         General – 10%

·         Support and maintain the vision and mission of CRSS

·         Ensure personal accountability for meeting deadlines and responding to donor, vendor and other department requests

·         Collaborate with all agency staff to ensure the critical growth and success of the fundraising activities

·         Work with a high level of confidentiality and integrity

·         Assist with other duties as assigned

 

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

·         Bachelor’s degree required

·         Special event planning required

·         Knowledge of Microsoft Office

·         Database management (preferably Raiser’s Edge), including but not limited to CRM and spreadsheets

·         Experience in WordPress is a plus

 

SKILLS & ATTITUDES REQUIRED FOR SUCCESS IN JOB

·         Excellent written and verbal communication skills

·         Organizational skills {paperwork as well as juggling multiple tasks with deadlines)

·         Capable of researching and understanding various opportunities

·         Ability to work flexible hours

·         Able to work to meet deadlines

·         Ability to prioritize and coordinate multiple projects

·         Ability to maintain confidentiality      

 


Pre-Employment Screening
